The
FlowMaster system family is designed to measure instantaneous 2D-
and3D-velocity fields using the well-established Particle Image
Velocimetry (PIV) technique. The flow is seeded with small particles
which follow the flow closely. Typically a pulsed laser beam is formed
into a light sheet and is fired twice with a short time delay dt. Both
illuminations are recorded by one double-frame high resolution CCD-camera.
Image distortion due to optical path or oblique viewing is corrected
automatically. |
